I wish this were a "before" picture with a beautiful "after" picture to go with it, but no such luck. But it is my space - all mine. I have been gradually re-arranging things, but it is slow going. I mostly do altered books and altered art, although I also love scrapbooking, rubber stamping and sewing. All my sewing is done in my basement.
My room is 8 X 9 ft. Not a lot of room, but it is the only space that was amenable to taking over. I used to have my space in my dining room, but we reclaimed that last year and I have combined all my stuff into this room.
Here is the closet with my rubber stamps, inks and tools, and to the right is another set of shelves.
Here are a few examples of things I am working on right now.
And here is my favorite beverage for when I am making art:

I like your room. And you remind me of myself-my craft room in in a constant state of trying to be organized.
Maybe for next year's party.
As long as you can call it your own it's lovely! I enjoyed my visit here. Have fun at the parties.

What a great use of a small space! I actually think the smaller the space, the more creative you are because everything is right there to stimulate you. Your art is fabulous, by the way!

We have so much in common. I make altered books and love coffee. It takes a lot of room to make altered art. So many more things than just scrapbooking. I think you do a wonderful job with the space you have. And, it is all yours, so that's more than many have. Thanks for joining the party and now I can come back for a visit.
I love altered books and what you're working on looks great! Your space may be small but it's packed with what you love and I think it's wonderful!
Like I've said before...sometimes we just get ourselves in a creative whirlwind!! And that's okay! I can see the creative passion you have all over that room! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

You don't need a huge space-you just need your own spot. Looks cozy and creative!
You have packed an awful lot into an 8 x 9 space! It looks like such a fun and inspiring place to create - thank you sharing!

Hi Tricia,
Oh boy, what a wonderful space you have..how I love that wall of books..I am hopelessly in love with books, catalogs and just paper in general! I love looking at your art journals too.
Thanks so much for your kind comments about my studio..it's been a long time coming!
Have a wonderful day,

Tricia,
That is a real spot. I know there are a few out there who can be neat and organized but my mind doesn't work that way. I love what you are doing in your journals with glossy paper and collage. Looks like you are really able to create!
If you wish, come and visit the blog of my daughter and me. We are only three months old (blogging) but have been making jewelry for fifteen years. Our blog is about much more than our jewelry...I love paper crafts and old books...she loves vintage fashion and we both love estate sales and rummage sales.
Thanks for letting us in. I really enjoyed seeing how and what you create.

What a great place. Thank you so much for sharing it with us! Your work is just lovely!!
This is my kind of space Tricia! You are right inside your own box of goodies! Thanks for your too kind comments--Jacqueline
Isn't amazing how we artists/crafters can fit everything in the spaces we are given? Your space is cozy and it doesn't have to be so organized, you know where everything is and that's all that matters.
Thank you for the visit, I enjoyed it.
Hello Tricia!
OH my! You sure have a lot of supplies for crafting.
About your new project, are you making a scrapbook? And are those old books you're using as a base? Nice! Like that idea.
Haven't I been away for too long :-)

Loved your space, especially the bank of bookshelves with all the interesting books and stuff! Cool!
And who says you have to have a lot of space to create!?? Looks like you are doing just fine! Love the collage work. I find that the artists I have met with small spaces are more focused. Mmmmm.....
I see you are packed with treasure like me! just love it!I am so late getting to everyones blogs but better late than never right?

Hi Tricia! I love your space and your beverage of choice...you're a gal after my own heart!
Your altered books look wonderful and I know you must have the best time creating them.
Hugs to you and thanks so much for the tour!
It may be small but seems perfect for creating. I enjoyed looking at the projects you are working on. Visiting creative spaces of other bloggers like you has been fun and inspiring.
Your space is obviously a room in which art is made..not just a room for decoration! I love the pages you're working on..and how handy to have your treasures and supplies close at hand! Don't we crafters collect enormous piles of stuff?
I'm so late getting to all the studios, but am very glad I stopped by yours. It's very nice to meet you...
Lynette
