Where Bloggers Create - My Little Space

I wish this were a "before" picture with a beautiful "after" picture to go with it, but no such luck. But it is my space - all mine.  I have been gradually re-arranging things, but it is slow going. I mostly do altered books and altered art, although I also love scrapbooking, rubber stamping and sewing. All my sewing is done in my basement.

My room is 8 X 9 ft. Not a lot of room, but it is the only space that was amenable to taking over. I used to have my space in my dining room, but we reclaimed that last year and I have combined all my stuff into this room.
Here is the closet with my rubber stamps, inks and tools, and to the right is another set of shelves.

Here are a few examples of things I am working on right now.

And here is my favorite beverage for when I am making art:
Be sure to go over to Karen Valentine's place over at My Desert Cottage and visit other bloggers at the Where Bloggers Create Party!

I like your room. And you remind me of myself-my craft room in in a constant state of trying to be organized.

Maybe for next year's party.

What a great use of a small space! I actually think the smaller the space, the more creative you are because everything is right there to stimulate you. Your art is fabulous, by the way!

We have so much in common. I make altered books and love coffee. It takes a lot of room to make altered art. So many more things than just scrapbooking. I think you do a wonderful job with the space you have. And, it is all yours, so that's more than many have. Thanks for joining the party and now I can come back for a visit.

Tricia,
That is a real spot. I know there are a few out there who can be neat and organized but my mind doesn't work that way. I love what you are doing in your journals with glossy paper and collage. Looks like you are really able to create!

If you wish, come and visit the blog of my daughter and me. We are only three months old (blogging) but have been making jewelry for fifteen years. Our blog is about much more than our jewelry...I love paper crafts and old books...she loves vintage fashion and we both love estate sales and rummage sales.

Thanks for letting us in. I really enjoyed seeing how and what you create.

Isn't amazing how we artists/crafters can fit everything in the spaces we are given? Your space is cozy and it doesn't have to be so organized, you know where everything is and that's all that matters.
Thank you for the visit, I enjoyed it.

Hello Tricia!

OH my! You sure have a lot of supplies for crafting.

About your new project, are you making a scrapbook? And are those old books you're using as a base? Nice! Like that idea.

Haven't I been away for too long :-)

Your space is obviously a room in which art is made..not just a room for decoration! I love the pages you're working on..and how handy to have your treasures and supplies close at hand! Don't we crafters collect enormous piles of stuff?

I'm so late getting to all the studios, but am very glad I stopped by yours. It's very nice to meet you...
