Where Bloggers Create - My Little Space

I wish this were a "before" picture with a beautiful "after" picture to go with it, but no such luck. But it is my space - all mine.  I have been gradually re-arranging things, but it is slow going. I mostly do altered books and altered art, although I also love scrapbooking, rubber stamping and sewing. All my sewing is done in my basement.

My room is 8 X 9 ft. Not a lot of room, but it is the only space that was amenable to taking over. I used to have my space in my dining room, but we reclaimed that last year and I have combined all my stuff into this room.
Here is the closet with my rubber stamps, inks and tools, and to the right is another set of shelves.

Here are a few examples of things I am working on right now.

And here is my favorite beverage for when I am making art:

Where Bloggers Create II - Blog Party June 19th

I am so thrilled to be included in the second annual "Where Bloggers Create" party which is being hosted by Karen Valentine over at My Desert Cottage on June 19. I first met Karen through participating in Pink Saturday by Beverly over at How Sweet the Sound.  I am so excited to be able to participate this year. The magazine "Where Women Create" is one of my most favorite and inspirational magazines. So join us all on June 19 by heading over to My Desert Cottage and visiting all the lovely participants and their creative spaces. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?  See you then.

Art Fair & Antique Festival - Pink Saturday!

Last Saturday was truly a Pink Saturday for me and my daughter. We spent the entire day together attending some of the exciting events around town - the Art Fair, Antique Festival and the Library Book Sale. I took some photos of some happy pink sights to share with everyone.

The day was very special since we had just returned from a 17 day trip to the UK and my other daughter is in Mexico & my husband and son were up North putting our boat in the water....so just a fun day for the two of us.
Isn't this necklace awesome - and the hat is positively gorgeous!

I love pink Depression glass and this was such a pretty display. My family has collected Iris for years - not pink, but beautiful, just the same.

And now to pictures from the Art Fair...

Isn't this a great use of old pink dishes - to turn it into wall art!

And the perennial t-shirts that you find at art fairs - these are really cute.
Even some of the woodwork included pink.
Even the advertisers got into the pink scene!

And I will end with some beautiful antique dolls - not pink, but lovely!

Take time to stop over at Beverly's place at How Sweet the Sound and visit some other awesome Pink  Saturday posts today. And say hello for me!
