Altered Book Page - Le Noel du Povret

Altered book page that I made as part of a two page spread featuring the fashions of the Victorian Age. The background is made from tissue out of a new handbag. I love recycling things. The clock is cut from a magazine page and I glued the ribbon on after I did the stamping and glueing. Fun page!

Altered Book Spread

This is a spread I did a while back and I've just never really decided what I want to add to it. I sort of like it like it is. It is a collaged torn paper background and then painted over and collaged with hand made paper.

You Stronger Than You Think You Are

This is another spread in my book of days. I don't often draw people, but I did this one during a hockey game the other night. It was a little tricky because I drew the circles with oil pastels and the paint didn't want to stick in some places. I did go over it with clear gesso and that helped somewhat, but was not a complete fix.  The clip art with quote is a freebie from The Brave Girls Club.

I had a lot of fun doing this page. It is not really like my usual pages, but I came upon this photo in a calendar and decided to put it on the collaged background. It just seemed to fit and I really like the masculine feel of the page. It has a bit of a steampunk feel to it.
